For Sale is a lovely piece of pottery made by The Weller Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The shape is a Vase and the pattern is the somewhat elusive "Ardsley". The Vase measures 9" tall and the base and outside rim is 3 1/4" in diameter.

The Vase depicts two embossed open Waterlilies at the base and Cattails amongst tall reeds. The Waterlilies are glazed in a soft Robin's Egg Blue for the petals with brown centers. There are also two unopened waterlily Buds protruding from the base and the form is very naturalistic. The Cattails are glazed in a chocolate brown and the reeds are a light green with darker Moss accents. The shape of the vase is a trumpet form that is finished with the cattail leaves leaving a Saw tooth edge for the rim.

The Vase is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. The piece is signed with the Weller Ware round ink stamp. There is also a number 20 written in a light blue and done in free hand most likely a makers mark. Those of you who collect Weller Coppertone, Woodcraft, Flemish, Glendale or other nature related pottery would surely find this a welcome addition to their collection.

This Vase was made Circa 1920-1928.
