We specialize in Patina Restoration on Arts & Crafts and Art Nouveau metalware and lighting.
With over 20 years experience in the antique business and restoring metal work, we can restore authentic patinas to your badly worn, oxidized or polished copper, brass or bronze items. This includes metalware, sculpture, lamps and lighting and furniture hardware.

The patina colors available are:
Arts & Crafts – reddish brown patina, typically found on metalware by Roycroft, Stickley, Dirk van Erp and others.
Mottled opaque brown patina – as found on Heintz and Silvercrest metalware
Green Verdigris patina (Tiffany Green) – typically found on Art Deco and Art Nouveau sculpture, metalware and lighting. Tiffany, Handel, and Duffner & Kimberly lamp bases
Antique Bronze – great patina for cast bronze sculpture
Black patina – great patina for Art Deco sculpture, lighting and etc…
Other colors or combinations of colors available upon request
Process:
The copper, brass or bronze piece is carefully cleaned to remove any oxidation, wax, lacquer etc., at this point any imperfections can be fixed (dents) or repairs are made. A chemical patina is applied in several stages to produce the correct depth and color. The patina is then sealed with a special blend of waxes and hand buffed to achieve an authentic finish.

Other Services Available:
We offer dent removal from your piece. We are able to solder on handles, loose parts, broken pieces or other items, and remove engravings (monograms). We can also replace Mica inserts into lamp shades/lighting, install slag glass and rewire lamps with silk cord.
