Tiffany

Sold

For Sale I have a Very Lovely Art Glass Vase made by Tiffany Studios, New York. The Item is the highly collected and very desirable "Floriform" Vase". The Vase is done in Tiffany's Famous Gold Favrile Glass. The Vase would be considered a Cabinet Size as it stands 7 3/8" tall. The Top or Flower part of the Vase is 2 5/8" in diameter at the shoulder and the opening is 2 3/8" outside diameter.

The Floriform has a Tulip Shape Flower at the top with Vertical Ribbing that rises up from a Stem with a Bulbous Knuckle off of a Circular Raised Ribbed Foot. The Gold Floriform Aurene Iridescence is just outstanding!! You can see Platinum Blues accented with very Strong Fuchsia both inside and out. There is one part of the foot that really shows off this Fuchsia Color and is simply Gorgeous. The edge of the Foot shows that Blue Hue that is so common with Original Tiffany Glass. The Ruffled top edge tapers down to the knuckle with a slight twist.

The Vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The piece shows minimal wear and it is my belief that it sat in a Cabinet most of its life. Many of these Vases have Mineral Deposits on the inside. I am happy to report that this has None!! There is a tooling mark on the outer raised portion of the foot and is considered nothing important as it was done in the making. The Vase is signed on the bottom with Tiffany's Etched Signature that reads, "1769D L.C. Tiffany . Favrile" written in script. The "D" Suffix means this piece was made Circa 1909.

This is one of the Nicest Gold Floriforms I have had the pleasure of owning. It is now time to pass it on to the next Collector to enjoy like I have. I will honestly say that this Floriform Vase in this size is the Finest I have ever owned. The Vase is so light and delicate it is simply amazing that it has survived 100 years in this condition. It is almost as good as the day it was made. I'm sure the Lucky winner will cherish this wonderful piece of Art Glass in their Collection for many years.
