Extremely Rare Gustav Stickley early dining chairs, set of six. Tacked seats and backs. With over 30 years specializing in original Arts & Crafts Stickley furniture, we have never previously seen this chair in person or catalogue. I researched this rare form extensively before I purchased them and found only one example online having been sold on the open market. It sold at auction in 2011 for the amount of $3,185.00 including the buyers premium. I since found another that was listed for $1,900.00. There is a similar Gustav Stickley chair form, the most striking difference regarding these 6 chairs is the arched stretcher at the front & rear of the chair. The single auction example was listed as very good condition, recovered leather seat, minor wear to feet. These chairs are in very good condition and show no signs of stripping or sanding, the finish appears to have been "skinned" and re-coated long ago. There are minor nicks & bumps commensurate with age. They measure 19" wide x 17" deep x 35" high. (More images to follow)
