For Sale is a very lovely piece of Art Glass made by Tiffany Studios, New York. I have a beautiful Rose Bowl done in Tiffany's most sought after Blue Favrile Glass. The Vase is a nice size as it stands 4 1/4" tall and has a diameter of approximately 4 3/4" at it widest point.

The Vase has a very nice Rose Bowl shape. The Vase display a unique pattern of Round Indents of Thumbprints with a Quilted Pattern that runs vertical between these Thumbprints. The Thumbprints are in the upper middle of the Vase. This Quilted Pattern is done in a raised relief. This Quilted Patterns also looks like Panels and Pods. It has a wonderful Arts and Crafts flow to it. The Blue Iridescence is Brilliant and the lower half has a Horizontal Gold Tone over-spray Iridescence to it. This gives the lower Panels or Pods their texture. The Vase looks Metallic yet it is glass.

The vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. There are very minor scratches on the outer iridescence. I have supplied pictures of these. My camera is 10X Zoom and they are actually the size of a pencil tip when viewing. I would consider these to be non obtrusive. Looking inside the vase there is some calcium deposits and the Vase shows evidence this was used for what it was intended for. The Calcium deposits are not major and cannot be seen when viewed.

The Vase is properly signed in a counter clockwise fashion. It is the etched Script Signature mark which reads "L.C. Tiffany-Favrile 9428 D". Tiffany started using a Prefix and Suffix Letter and numbering system to date his pieces of Art Glass that he made in 1894. Since this this Vase has a Suffix letter "D" this means this piece was made circa 1909.

This is a quality piece of Art glass made by Tiffany Studios, New York. The Blue Favrile, Aurene Iridescence is just Wonderful!! This is a very nice example of this form and color. It is amazing that this Vase has survived almost 103 years without getting any kind of damage. Those of you who collect the Blue Favrile, Aurene Forms will surely welcome this fine addition. I'm sure the Buyer will be pleased with their purchase.
