For Sale is a Beautiful piece of Art Pottery Vase made by The Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The Pattern is called "Water Lily" and it a very large Floor Jardiniere or a Jardiniere for the Pedestal. The Jardiniere is Impressive as it stands 7 3/4" tall and is 13" in diameter outside handles measurements. The top opening is 8 3/8" in diameter inside measurements.The Dusty Rose, Salmon Pink with Moss Green Glaze is simply Striking. The Vase displays a Water Lily Design that consist of a Large Embossed open Water Lily Flower on a watery background of horizontal wavy ridges. The large Blossom is surrounded by Large Green Lily Pads with a Bud rising up the column on one side. The back side only shows the Waterlily Blossom amongst the Lily Pads. This is one of Roseville's Most Popular Patterns and Glazes.
The Vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. There is a glass miss or pop in one of the flowers. This is pictures and it was made this way. The mold is Crisp and well detailed as is the Glaze. The piece is signed on the bottom in raised relief "Roseville U.S.A." and the mold number 663-8".
This piece was made in 1943 during World War II. Those of you who collect this pattern and want a nice crisp example they just don't get any better than this one. This is an excellent example in both form and glaze combinations.
