For sale is a beautiful vase made by The Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The pattern is called "Laurel" and it is considered a flower vase. The vase is a nice cabinet size as stands 6 1/4" tall and is 4" in diameter.

The Vase depicts Mountain Laurel branches and berry clusters on a mustard yellow background. This branch design is repeated on the around the entire mid section of the vase. There are 4 of these clusters. There are elongated leaves glazed in a honey caramel with some black glaze outline on the mouth and low areas or the horizontal panels at the top. The vase is accented with 2 buttressed style closed handles. The vase also shows vertical ribbing done in a black glaze on each side of the berry clusters.

The piece is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The only issue is some crazing in the glaze. This can be seen upon very close inspection and seems to be customary for this matte yellow glaze in the Laurel pattern with Roseville Pottery. The vase is not signed and more than likely had a foil or paper label at one time. There is an incised number "8" on the bottom. There are also the number "2" and the letter "x" written in blue glaze on the bottom. More than likely these are finishers or artist numbers. This is known as shape number 668-6" in the Roseville "Laurel" line catalog pages.

This is a lovely vase in excellent condition. I'm sure the buyer will be very pleased with their purchase. This piece was made circa 1934.
