For sale is a wonderful piece of art glass made by Josef Rindskopf of Bohemia which is now modern day Czech Republic. This pattern line is called "Marbelized" according to the collectors. The vase has some size to it as it stands 10 3/16" tall and 5 1/2" in diameter at bulge at the bottom foot area. The top of the vase has a diameter of 3 1/8" outside measurements.

The vase displays a wonderful volcano form with a long wide neck that flares out ever so gently at the top. The swirling affect over the blue red blown glass gives the effect of a windy and blustery day. You can see plenty of fuchsia as well. The vase is very clean and was well taken care of through its life.

The vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. There are a few minor factory polishing flea bites along the top rim. These can only be seen upon close inspection. The vase has a polished top rim with no counter sunk pontil on the bottom. This means the vase was blown from the top into a mold and cut and polished. The vase is unsigned as is the case with most Rindskopf art glass vessels. This vase more than likely had a paper label at one time. This is documented decor from Rindskopf but this is the first time I have ever seen this shape and with this glass style.

This is a beautiful hand made vase and quite hard to find. I have been dealing in art glass for almost 40 years and this is the first time I have ever had this form with this pattern. Subsequently I would consider this somewhat rare. I'm quite sure the buyer will be very pleased with their purchase. This vase was made at the turn of the century circa 1900-1910.
