For sale is a lovely pair of art pottery candlesticks made by The Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio and the pattern is called "Apple Blossom". The candlesticks are done in the most popular blue background glaze. The candlesticks each stand approximately 2 1/8" tall and are 3 7/16" in diameter at the round bottom.

These candlesticks depict twigs of Apple Blossoms in full bloom and there are 2 twig style handles on each side to complete the look. The background on these very lovely candlesticks is a two toned Robins egg blue with the deeper blue being along the bottom. The blossoms are a creamy white with soft green leaves. The pattern is repeated on both sides of the candlestick along with some unopened buds.

The candlesticks are considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The only issue to report is some crazing upon close inspection. This is very common with this pattern and its glazes. Each candlestick is signed with the raised relief "Roseville U.S.A." mark along with its mold mark "351". There is also a letter "T" and number "6" written on 1 bottom and the letter "T" and the number "4" written on the other. These are done in a blue glaze or grease pencil. These are more than likely the finishers marks. The glaze colors are bright and vivid as is the crispness of the mold.

I'm quite sure the buyer will be very pleased with their purchase. These candlesticks were made circa 1948.
