For sale is a beautiful piece of art pottery made by The Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. The pattern is called "Cherry Blossom" and it is done in their most highly collected and sought after three color background glaze. The piece stands 5 1/8" tall and is 7 1/4" in diameter.

The pattern depicts vertically running pink slits that covers two-thirds of the piece from the bottom to the chest of the vase. Clinging to the top of the slits is a vine of fully opened Cherry Blossoms entangled with brown vines and green leaves. The background glaze is subtle as it bleeds from a Cherry tint leading upwards to a subtle Satin matte blue green or teal glaze. The piece is accented on the neck of each side of the planter with small ear shaped handles. This is such a beautiful Roseville pattern especially with all these colors.

The Jardiniere is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no, cracks, chips, nicks, or dings. The inside of the vase shows minor wear but the rest is vibrant and colorful. The piece is signed with a triangular gold foil label that reads "Roseville Pottery". There is a number 5 written in blue glaze and more than likely was the finishers number. You can see remnants of the red crayon mold shape as well. You can barely make out the 621 number. This is known as shape number 621-6" in the Roseville Pottery catalog pages. Those of you who collect this pattern and want a nice example will surely welcome this one into their collection.

This Roseville planter or jardiniere was made circa 1932.
