For sale is a wonderful Art and Crafts Styled vase made by The Fulper Pottery Company of Flemington, NJ. The vase is a "Trumpet" form on a round foot. The vase is done in one of Fulper Pottery's most beautiful glaze combinations known as "Leopard Skin". This vase is a nice cabinet size as it stands 8 1/8" tall and is 5 1/2" in diameter at the top and the round foot has a diameter of 3 1/2".

The vase vase has a trumpet form with an enclosed top with factory holes to receive either flower stems of hatpins as it will work for both. There are 12 pencil size holes that surround a central quarter size hole. It stands on a round foot. This vase has a green-brown mottled Leopard Skin Crystalline glaze on the top with more of a two tone green crystalline glaze on the rest of the vase. This glaze in an outstanding example with lots of crystals in the body of the vase. The two tone pea green crystalline glaze seems to be the main background color with deep green leopard spots throughout. There is a heavy concentration of these spots on the area around the foot.

This vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The vase is marked on the underside bottom with Fulper's inkstamp "FULPER" inside a racetrack oval mark. This vase can be dated based on this to have been made circa 1922-1928. This form is one of the hardest to find in Fulper Pottery shapes. This is known as shape number 708 in the Fulper Pottery catalog and is simply described as a "Trumpet Fan Vase". Why is says "Fan" to got me??

I can honestly say that this is the nicest Leopard Skin example I have ever owned!! This is an outstanding example of this form and glaze from Fulper Pottery. I'm quite sure the buyer will be very pleased with their purchase. This would look Great on that Stickley, Mission, Arts and Crafts style bookcase.
