For sale is a wonderful art glass lighting shade made by the Steuben Glass Company of Coring, NY. The shade is designed to fit into a Handel Swing through or Harp table lamp. The shade stands approximately 5 5/16" tall and has a diameter of 6 7/16". The fitter neck is 2 3/16" and will fit into any standard 2 1/4" fitter.

The shade is absolutely beautiful. It displays a bell shape with a green drag loop decoration that is commonly confused with a pulled feather decoration. The green drag loop design is outlined in gold Aurene and sits against a calcite white background. The interior of the shade has a brilliant Gold Aurene color that looks as good as the day it was made. It is highly reflective. Steuben Glass made this shade for many manufacturers that competed with Tiffany. I have seen this same size used in multi light pan chandeliers where this is used as the center shade. That shade was typically larger than the satellite shades. I have seen this same shade on a Unique boudoir table lamp as well as numerous occasions inside of a Handel Harp or swing through desk lamp.

The shade is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings anywhere. If you are a shade collector this is almost a perfect example. The shade is not signed but I fully guarantee this to have been made by Steuben. This shade was made circa 1902-1915.
