For sale is an original Tiffany Favrile salt made by Tiffany Studios, New York. The salt stands 1 3/16" tall and is 2 3/4" in diameter at its widest point. The pattern is called "Queen" and it is considered a ruffled salt. The foot or the bottom of the salt is 2" in diameter.

There are 10 individual ruffles. The gold Aurene luster or iridescent is just wonderful!!! There are beautiful platinum blue with some fuchsia colored hues on the brilliant gold iridescence on the outside and inside bottom. When the piece is sitting flat strong golds with hints platinum blues from the piece. This salt has 10 ruffles and this is somewhat hard to find. When these are usually found they have only 8 ruffles. This salt is also known as the "Queen" pattern style in the Tiffany catalog pages for dinnerware.

This Tiffany salt is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. There are a few minor scratches in the iridescence but nothing too obtrusive. It displays a counter sunk polished pontil. The finishing sign of a quality piece of art glass. The salt is signed with the etched "L.C.T. for Louis Comfort Tiffany and the word "Favrile" for hand made. This is a must own for those who collect Tiffany and Quezal art glass salts. If you are looking for a salt to add to your collection that is in excellent condition and with great iridescence look no further. This piece was made circa 1900-1920.
