For sale is a lovely art pottery vase made by Epraim Pottery of Lake Mills, Wisconsin. I have a wonderful vase that is influenced by Grueby Pottery of Boston, Mass. The vase is a nice size as it stands 9" tall and is 5" in diameter. The bottom has a diameter of 3" in diameter.

The vase depicts a tre-foil or 3 sided top lip with spouts in each corner. This is set against a deep and rich matte green glazed body. The vase is decorated with vertical tooled leaves with irregular edges that rise up and curl over at these spouts. The vase is further accented with carved flower buds. These buds are glazed with green stems and matte yellow buds. These buds are placed between these vertical leaves giving it balance. The detail is just outstanding and the glaze is very similar to Hampshire Pottery's matte cucumber green glaze.

The vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The vase is signed on the bottom with impressed "EPRAIM POTTERY" and a circle cipher mark that has "USA". It is signed by the Artist and founder Kevin Hicks. I would say this piece was made circa 2003 based on its mark.

This was known as Bud Vase #803 in Ephraim catalog and it was retired on December 17, 2003 with only 277 ever made (Ephraim Faience Pottery Historical Item Catalog Listing, 2014).
