For sale is a wonderful utility box made by Tiffany Studios New York. The box is done in the "Pine Needle" desk set pattern. The patina on the metal is the most desirable green/brown with some reddish highlights. The stained glass is the green/white opalescent Favrile glass. The box is a a nice cabinet size as it stands 1 1/2" tall and is 4 1/8" wide and 2 3/8" deep.

This utility box is also called a stamp box. It displays a beautiful acid etched pine needle overlay pattern on green/white opalescent glass. It has 2 rows of wonderful beading along the top and a single row along the bottom. It sits on four bun style feet. This is the most desirable of the Tiffany Pine Needle boxes as it was considered the fanciest! The patina is box is nice!

This box is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, or chips to any of the glass. The hinge is in excellent working condition as the cover opens and closes with ease. This utility box is signed on the bottom with the "Tiffany Studios New York" impressed mark along one side and the pattern number "801" impressed just to the right of it.

This is a very nice utility box in better than excellent condition. When these are found there is usually some kind of damage to the glass. This one has None!! I believe the Pine Needle pattern to have been the first of the Fancy Goods product lines made at Tiffany Studios. Tiffany started using a 3 digit numbering system after 1902. Since this has a 3 digit number I can date this to have been made circa 1902-1915.
