For sale is a lovely candlestick made by Val St. Lambert of Seraing, Belgium. The candlestick is a nice size as it measures approximately 8 5/8" tall. The top has a diameter of 4 5/16" in diameter. The bottom or foot of the candlestick measures 4" in diameter. The candlestick displays a cased cranberry over clear glass that is wheel cut to the clear Crystal underneath. The cut is deep and very pronounced. The pattern is a very pleasing one of beads and stars. The stars are extremely small and the cutting of these stars were done my a master cutter. The beveling and cutting in this candlestick is outstanding.
This candlestick is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no chips, or cracks. There is an extremely teeny flea bite on the outer top edge. I almost missed it as it is that small. The vase has a polished top rim and a large counter sunk pontil mark on the bottom. This is the finishing sign of a quality piece of art glass. The candlestick is unsigned but is fully guaranteed to have been made my Val St. Lambert. More than likely it had a paper of foil label at one time. This candlestick vase made circa 1920-1925.
A set of these candlesticks would sell for $1300-$1500. Here is your chance to piece together that missing or broken one for less than 1/2 the value of a set.
