Tiffany & Co. Art Deco Style Wind Up 8 Day Clock, Excellent Working Condition

For sale is a very nice desk set item made exclusively for Tiffany & Company of New York, New York. The item is a mantle or desk clock. This desk clock is a nice size as it stands 5 7/16" tall, 6 3/8" wide and 1 15/16" deep.

The clock displays an Art Deco style with a natural aged brass patina. It is 6 sided and sits on a plinth. The face, hands, and numbers all have that Art Deco flair. It sits on 4 molded feet that are part of the original casting. This clock is known as a 8 day clock and is marked at the bottom on the left side of the 6 as such. It also shows where the clock mechanism was made on the other side of the 6 which is Switzerland.

This clock is in very good to excellent condition as there are no cracks to any of the glass. It still retains most of its original screws in the back as it is only missing 2 of them. This is an easy fix at any jeweler as they usually have those tiny screws. There are no major dings to the metal frame which appears to be a heavy solid brass. The clock is signed on the front of the face at the top just under the number 12 that reads "Tiffany & Co". There is also a mark on the back of the clock that is an impressed mark and it is quite small but it reads "Concord Works Swiss". This clock still works and keeps accurate time as I tested it before listing. It probably wouldn't hurt to have the insides cleaned by a professional clock shop. This clock is quite heavy for its size as it weigh 3 pounds 1 ounce before shipping.

Truly a quality find in very good to condition. This 8 day calendar/desk clock was made circa 1940-1950. I'm positive the buyer will be very pleased with their purchase.
