For sale is a lovely teacup and saucer set as well as a salad plate made by Royal Albert of Longton, England. The pattern is known as "Un-named Pattern # 189". The cup measures 2 5/8" tall and 2 3/4" wide at the rim of the cup. The handle measures approximately 2 15/16" at the highest point. The footed base measures 1 7/8" wide. The saucer is 7/8" tall and is 5 1/2" in diameter. The salad plate measures 9/16" tall and is 8" in diameter.

The "Un-named pattern #189" depicts flowers in an all over pattern known as a floral chintz. They are set on a white background with a grayish, lilac fern and leaf decoration that is behind the multi colored flowers. There are roses, peonies, anemones and other flowers in all over pattern on the cup, saucer and plate. The shape of the footed cup is known as a Hampton shape. The rim, foot and handle are trimmed with gold as well as the scalloped edge of the saucer and plate.

Royal Albert has a history and reputation for being able to cater to people from all walks of life, from modest to the most exquisite taste. Many of their early wares were commemorative to the Royal family. The founder, Thomas Wild, had a love for flowers which inspired many of the patterns.

The teacup and saucer are in excellent condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. The pieces are signed "Royal Albert, Bone China, England" in pink. There is also a crown in between the words "Bone China". This cup was made circa 1940's to 1950's. The saucer and salad plate are signed in the same manor however The crown is above the words "Royal Albert" and the ink is in black dating these pieces to 1960's to 1970's.
