Remarkably graphic double sided trade sign found many years ago in the basement of the railway station in Schenectady New York. When found there was the year 1876 newspaper wrapping the sign all of which has been removed save a few small pieces still adhering to the surface. Reputedly this sign along with two others were on their way to the Philadelphia Exposition to be the booth signs for a trade show; and for some unknown reason never made it to Philadephia but remained at the railway station for in excess of 100 years. Research indicates that the LL Brown Paper Company made the paper for America's paper legal tender.Superb original condition. Length: 10 ft.
